Job summary

Grow Therapy is seeking a founding Android engineer to set the technical direction for our native Android app, from architecture to first production release. You will collaborate with iOS, product and design to build on a shared backend and established design system.

This hands-on role requires 8+ years in Android development, deep Kotlin experience, and strong product instincts. You will apply AI tooling to accelerate delivery while maintaining high quality and security in a healthcare context.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, native Android focus.
• Led technical direction for an Android app or platform from early stage or major re-architecture.
• Strong experience with Jetpack Compose, Kotlin coroutines/Flow, DI, modularization, and Gradle.

Responsibilities

• Design architecture and foundations for Grow's native Android app from project structure to release.
• Ship consumer features and improve care discovery, connection, and journey between sessions.
• Set coding standards, tooling, and engineering practices for Android as the team grows.
• Own production path: CI/CD, Play release, observability, and security practices for healthcare apps.
• Collaborate with product/design and backend teams to align tech decisions with product goals.
• Influence roadmap and tradeoffs across stakeholders, often without precedents.
