CesiumAstro seeks an experienced Staff Assembly, Integration & Test (AIT) Engineer focused on Electrical Ground Systems Test to join our team in Westminster, CO. The role emphasizes hands-on lab work supporting AI&T operations for cutting-edge spacecraft and aerospace communication systems.

You will lead test planning, EGSE development, and acceptance testing, while collaborating with systems engineering and program management to ensure timely, safe, and compliant integration and test campaigns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in aerospace, electrical, or related engineering field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience including significant spacecraft AIT roles.
• Experience in satellite/component/GSE development from design-for-test to operations.
• Experience in requirements management, system design, integration and test.
• Proficient in at least one scripting language such as Python, with willingness to learn more.

Responsibilities

• Define requirements, designs and support for EGSE development for satellite testing.
• Work with Systems Engineering to establish test plans and verification matrices.
• Collaborate with Program Management to build AI&T schedules and master plans.
• Support on-orbit operations with knowledge from integration/test activities.
• Validate electrical interfaces between test equipment and flight hardware.
• Provide guidance and peer review for assembly, integration and test campaigns.
• Lead and execute acceptance/qualification testing (vibration, EMI/EMC, RF, etc.).
• Lead anomaly investigations and implement corrective actions with clear communication.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues during subsystem integration testing.
• Lead integration and test readiness reviews and post-operational briefings.
• Analyze and present test data to support verification activities.
• Author test procedures and lead test activities.
• Support satellite AI&T and launch operations including facility and schedule planning.
• Work independently and in teams to meet objectives.
• Identify and enforce safety policies for assembly, integration and test.
• Work onsite in the lab and cleanroom daily.
