Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking a Senior Staff Assembly, Integration & Test (AIT) Engineer to own end-to-end electrical ground systems testing for satellites. You will lead EGSE development, test planning, and anomaly resolution in a lab and cleanroom environment in Westminster, CO.

You bring 12+ years in spacecraft AIT, a B.S. in a related field, and Python scripting skills, with experience using RF, EMI/EMC, COSMOS, and Grafana. This is a full-time on-site role with strong growth potential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in aerospace, electrical, or related engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 12 years experience in spacecraft AIT operations.
• Experience in multiple stages of satellite and component/GSE development including early design for test and operational missions.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python) and willingness to learn new ones.

Responsibilities

• Define requirements and provide ongoing support for EGSE development for satellite testing.
• Collaborate with Systems Engineering to establish test plans and verification matrices.
• Coordinate AI&T schedules with Program Management to inform master schedules.
• Support on-orbit mission operations with knowledge from AIT activities.
• Validate electrical interfaces between test equipment and flight hardware.
• Lead anomaly reporting and root-cause analysis with clear engineering judgment.
• Develop and execute acceptance/qualification tests (vibration, EMI/EMC, RF, etc.).
• Lead readiness reviews and post-operational briefings for integration/testing.
• Analyze, document, and present test data to support verification activities.
• Author test procedures and lead/conduct test activities.
• Work onsite daily in labs and cleanrooms for AI&T operations.
• Ensure safety policies are followed during assembly, integration, and test activities.
