Job summary

LegalZoom’s product design team seeks a Staff Product Designer (AI UX Designer) to solve problems end-to-end, build production-ready prototypes, and hand off to engineering. You’ll lead a domain, product surface, or AI experience with strong design judgment and build fluency to take ideas to working code.

You’ll mentor peers, shape AI-powered features, and collaborate across product, engineering, and brand to ensure cohesive delivery.

Qualifications

• Strong design fundamentals justified by evidence over instinct.
• Comfort designing from ambiguity and evolving system before documentation.
• Fluency with AI development tools to turn concepts into working prototypes.
• Frontend implementation fluency ensuring code aligns with design intent.
• Git and GitHub workflow as a normal part of shipping.
• Ability to close gaps in a design system and influence cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop frameworks that simplify ambiguous problem spaces and generate production-grade directions.
• Build and ship functional prototypes with real data.
• Implement features from requirements to shipped experience using AI tools.
• Identify and document new patterns to integrate with the design system.
• Read and respond to CI/CD checks, accessibility, and audits before release.
• Mentor peers and align with product and engineering teams.
