Cohere Health is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for the Payment Solutions team to design, develop, and scale AI healthcare products supporting payment integrity across providers, payers, and delegated entities.

You will lead a fast-paced, autonomous team, own production code, and drive architectural decisions while aligning with healthcare interoperability standards and security requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience with cloud-native architectures and scalable SaaS systems.
• Strong background in secure API design and access control.
• Proven ability to design, review, and ship production-grade code.
• Hands-on experience with data systems and AI workloads.
• Proven track record mentoring engineers and shaping engineering standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across architecture, system design, and mentoring.
• Lead development and enhancement of AI-powered applications and platforms.
• Design data and retrieval architectures for AI contexts.
• Contribute to releases, deployments, and production operations.
• Drive security, observability, and performance in line with regulations.
