Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a hands-on Tech Lead / Staff Software Development Engineer to drive end-to-end AI transformation across our product platform. You will own full‑stack AI capabilities, spanning agent backends, APIs, and front‑end interfaces, using Python, Java, Angular, React/TypeScript, LangGraph and LangSmith.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, platform scalability, and production readiness with Kubernetes, CopilotKit, and multi‑tenant considerations.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with full-stack ownership.
• 2+ years hands-on experience building and operating LLM/agent-powered applications in production.
• Hands-on experience with CopilotKit (or comparable in‑app agent UI frameworks).
• Experience building or operating Deep Agents-style systems: planning and multi‑step orchestration.
• Practical experience with LangSmith for tracing, evaluation, and debugging.
• Hands-on experience with LangGraph for agent orchestration in production.
• Strong web technologies experience: React, and backend skills in Java and Python.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design and build full stack AI application capabilities spanning agent backend services, APIs, and front-end interfaces.
• Lead technical design for agent-powered product features using CopilotKit and Deep Agents architectures.
• Instrument, trace, and evaluate agent behavior in production using LangSmith to reduce latency, cost, and errors.
• Own the connective tissue between backend agent logic and frontend experience: API design and state synchronization.
• Review and influence designs; set engineering standards for reliability, versioning, and rollback strategies.
• Mentor senior and mid-level engineers on agentic systems.
