Rippling is building foundational AI infrastructure to power intelligent, automated experiences across the platform. The Agents, Automations & Plugins team develops the AI layer for internal products and external customers.

You will own major AI agent infrastructure initiatives, lead cross-functional design, and build reusable platform tools. This is greenfield work with a fast-moving roadmap and a focus on scalable agent frameworks.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering with leadership impact.
• Deep expertise in platform and distributed systems engineering.
• Strong hands-on coding alongside leadership responsibilities.
• Experience leading complex cross-functional technical initiatives.

Responsabilités

• Own major AI agent infrastructure initiatives across backend, platform and AI-enabled systems.
• Lead design and execution for systems supporting agent creation, invocation, triggering, packaging, plugin connectivity, and automation orchestration.
• Build foundational tools enabling internal teams and external customers to create and deploy AI agents.
• Act as a technical lead for cross-functional work with Product, AI Infra, Platform, and Engineering teams.
• Break down ambiguous problems into architecture and execution plans; shape the roadmap.
• Write code, review critical paths, debug production issues, and make implementation decisions.
• Build platform systems reusable across Rippling product teams.
• Raise engineering bar via design/code reviews, mentoring, and guidance.
• Balance speed, quality, reliability, and long-term maintainability in a fast-moving env.
