Job summary

Rippling is building the foundational AI infrastructure that powers intelligent, automated experiences across the entire platform. The Agents, Automations & Plugins team owns creating, invoking, installing, and orchestrating AI agents for Rippling and external customers.

This role leads major AI infra initiatives, architecture, and tooling, partnering with Product, AI Infra, Platform, and Engineering teams to shape the roadmap and deliver scalable platform capabilities.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering with leadership impact.
• Deep expertise in platform and distributed systems.
• Strong hands-on coding and leadership involvement.

Responsibilities

• Own major AI agent infrastructure initiatives across backend, platform, and AI-enabled systems.
• Lead design and execution for systems supporting agent creation, invocation, triggering, skill packaging, plugin connectivity, and automation orchestration.
• Build foundational tools enabling internal teams and external customers to create and deploy AI agents.
• Act as a technical lead for cross-functional work across Product, AI Infra, Platform, and Engineering teams.
