Job summary

Bloc Recruitment seeks a Staff/Principal Software Engineer for an AI-native fintech startup born from a $10m seed and led by top VC partners. You will architect end-to-end AI-driven bookkeeping workflows, own core integrations, and build a scalable ledger from the ground up.

Expect daily shipping in TS/Next.js with frontend-heavy work and direct customer interaction. Senior engineers with 5+ years of hands-on experience, proven AI/LLM in production, and comfort with ambiguity are invited to

Qualifications

5+ years hands-on software engineering experience.
Deep TypeScript/Next.js fluency across the full stack.
Real experience building with LLMs/AI agents in production.
Comfortable owning ambiguous problems with minimal direction.

Responsibilities

Build AI agents that autonomously run end-to-end bookkeeping workflows for SMBs.
Own integrations with Ramp, Brex, Gusto — scoping through production, no handoffs.
Architect an accounting ledger from scratch — the core financial data infrastructure.
Ship daily in TypeScript/Next.js, full stack (60% frontend, 40% backend).
Talk directly to test customers and partners you drive the product, not a spec doc.
