Trulioo, a global leader in digital identity verification, seeks a Staff Engineer/Architect for the Agentic AI Team. You will design, build, and own end-to-end agent systems, leveraging AI to enhance productivity, decision-making, and compliance.

You will work in a hybrid setup (Vancouver office three days a week or remote within North America) to drive robust, auditable AI-driven workflows in a regulated industry.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with production impact.
• Experience with AI agents in engineering workflows and accountability.
• Ability to own features end-to-end and communicate trade-offs.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and own agent systems end-to-end for identity, fraud, risk and commerce.
• Develop multi-step agent workflows with tool use and human-in-the-loop patterns.
• Troubleshoot non-deterministic failures across models, tools, and infra.
• Ensure auditability and oversight in a compliance-heavy domain.
• Set and communicate a technical vision to teammates and agents.
• Leverage AI to improve productivity and processes.
• Orchestrate AI agents and maintain a clear system model.
