Job summary

Creative Financial Staffing, LLC is seeking a Staff Accountant in downtown Chicago to join a growing team. This role offers hands-on accounting experience, exposure to strategic projects, and visibility across a growing organization, with a hybrid schedule (3 days in office).

You will perform GL accounting, support monthly closes, and contribute to process improvements and ERP enhancements while collaborating with leadership. A 1+ year background in accounting and a relevant degree are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1+ year of accounting experience in public accounting or a corporate environment.
• Experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
• Microsoft Dynamics, Great Plains, or similar ERP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform general ledger accounting, journal entries, and account reconciliations as the Staff Accountant.
• Support monthly close activities and maintain accurate financial records as the Staff Accountant.
• Assist with lender reporting, audit preparation, and compliance documentation.
• Partner with accounting leadership on process improvements and Microsoft Dynamics enhancements.
• Support transactional accounting activities and special projects while.
