Harnish Group Inc. in Tukwila, WA, seeks a Staff Accountant to support cash management, treasury, and general accounting.

You will assist in preparing loan schedules, cash flow reports, bank reconciliations, and documentation for wires/ACHs, while coordinating payroll postings and asset accounting. The role requires an associate degree in accounting or 5+ years of accounting experience, with strong Excel and BI tool proficiency.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in accounting or 5+ years accounting experience.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is necessary.
• Proficiency with BI tools such as Cognos or PowerBI is beneficial.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in treasury operation, prepare loan and interest schedules, wires/ACHs docs, and cash flow reports.
• Perform cash receipts, receivable, and bank account reconciliation.
• Support other accounts receivable, treasury, credit, and operational accounting activities.
• Assist in fixed assets, prepaid expenses, lease, payroll entries, and other general-ledger functions.
• Assist with property tax preparation, filing, and compliance.
• Prepare documentation, reports, and schedules for business operation units, audits, tax filings, insurance reviews, and other financial reviews.
• Coordinate with Payroll to post payroll entries and reconcile payroll bank account.
• Vendor record setup and maintenance.
• Accounting ERP record setup, maintenance and audit.
• Unclaimed property review, filing and compliance.
