Job summary

HomeTown Services is seeking a Staff Accountant to manage corporate accounting, intercompany billing, and treasury functions across multiple sites. You will handle general ledger maintenance, cash reporting, and month-end close while supporting audits and process improvements.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of transactional accounting experience, proficiency with treasury systems, and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or associate degree or equivalent experience required.
• 5+ years of experience performing transactional accounting duties, including posting AP and manual journal entries.
• 2+ years of experience with Treasury management systems.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel; experience with Sage Intacct or QuickBooks or similar accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Manage general ledger accounting for Corporate Accounting and Treasury, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end close.
• Post daily cash transactions for company’s corporate bank accounts.
• Reconcile bank accounts monthly.
• Post ZBA entries and balance ZBA clearing account daily.
• Prepare daily cash summary and updated forecast for CFO and FP&A.
• Process AP bills and payments for intercompany and corporate.
• Prepare monthly intercompany billing statements to 26 sites; reconcile eliminations monthly.
• Provide support for corporate treasury admin tasks including credit card platform administration.
• Support treasury-led projects including system enhancements and process optimization.
• Assist audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations of financial data.
