Job summary

Thrasher Partners is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant based in Omaha, NE, to lead Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable activities and support the broader accounting function.

The role reports to the Regional Controller and emphasizes collaboration within a growing accounting team. In-office presence is required to foster culture and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a staff accountant role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage Accounts Receivable: update customer payments, invoices, and related records accurately.
• Manage Accounts Payable: process vendor invoices, ensure proper coding and approvals.
• Reconcile vendor statements and intercompany records; monitor cash disbursements.
• Ensure consistency of accounting information between CRM and accounting systems.

Thrasher Partners is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Staff Accountant to join our growing accounting team. This position will be primarily responsible for Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) activities while supporting the broader accounting function.

This position reports directly to the Regional Controller and plays an integral role in the accounting team.

Location –

As Staff Accountant, you will

Accounts Receivable

• Update and maintain customers payments, invoices, and all related accounting records accurately and timely
• Maintain accounts receivable records; monitor outstanding balances and collaborate with operations to support collections
• Partner with operations to ensure revenue / work-in-progress are properly recognized in the correct accounting period
• Ensure consistency of accounting information between company CRM and accounting system

Accounts Payable

• Process vendor invoices and ensure proper coding, approvals and support documentation
• Manage vendor payments in accordance with payment terms and company cash flow
• Reconcile vendor statements, bill processing platform records and accounting systems records
• Monitor and update company credit card transactions to ensure proper classification and approvals
• Assist with intercompany billing and related recordkeeping
• Assist with other cash disbursements activities as needed

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years of experience in a staff accountant role is preferred Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
