Job summary

Thrasher Partners seeks a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our growing accounting team in Omaha, NE. This role focuses on AR and AP activities while supporting the broader accounting function.

Based in-office to foster collaboration and culture, you will work with a regional team to ensure accurate revenue recognition, timely bill processing, and meticulous recordkeeping. Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE).

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a staff accountant role or similar.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Accounts Receivable: update and maintain customer payments, invoices, and related records.
• Accounts Payable: process vendor invoices, ensure proper coding and approvals, and manage payments.
• Reconcile vendor statements and records; support intercompany billing and cash disbursements.
• Ensure consistency between CRM and accounting system; assist with other routine accounting tasks.

Thrasher Partners is seeking a detail-oriented and dependableStaffAccountant to join our growing accounting team. This position will be primarily responsible for Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) activities while supporting the broader accounting function.

Location –

This position reports directly to the Regional Controller and plays an integral role in the accounting team. This position is based in Omaha, NE and requires in-office presence as we deeply value the collaboration, innovation, and culture that stem from working together.

As Staff Accountant, you will:

Accounts Receivable

• Update and maintain customers payments, invoices, and all related accounting records accurately and timely
• Maintain accounts receivable records; monitor outstanding balances and collaborate with operations to support collections
• Partner with operations to ensure revenue / work-in-progress are properly recognized in the correct accounting period
• Ensure consistency of accounting information between company CRM and accounting system

Accounts Payable

• Process vendor invoices and ensure proper coding, approvals and support documentation
• Manage vendor payments in accordance with payment terms and company cash flow
• Reconcile vendor statements, bill processing platform records and accounting systems records
• Monitor and update company credit card transactions to ensure proper classification and approvals
• Assist with intercompany billing and related recordkeeping
• Assist with other cash disbursements activities as needed

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

• 3+ years of experience in a staff accountant role is preferred Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
