CMTA, a Legence company, is hiring a Staff Accountant to join the accounting team in Prospect, Kentucky. The role focuses on ensuring accuracy of accounting systems, analyzing customer contracts, and preparing invoices, credits, revenue arrangements, and journal entries.

Collaboration with engineers will support revenue recognition and internal controls. The position emphasizes participation in audits, SOX compliance, and continuous improvement of accounting processes within a fast-paced

Qualifications

• 1+ year of general accounting experience, including month-end close.
• Data-driven mindset with analytics focus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• ERP systems and in-house developed systems familiarity.
• Outstanding attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Team player able to handle multiple issues simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Prepare revenue month-end close reports based on project billing and costs.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare monthly project, collections, billing, contracts, and WIP reports.
• Prepare journal entries with supporting documentation.
• Fully utilize ERP software for financial/operational objectives.
• Reconcile and balance general ledger accounts monthly.
