Job summary

Fairmount Park is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our finance team in Kentucky. You will execute month-end and year-end closings, manage accounts payable and receivable, perform bank reconciliations, and prepare general ledger entries.

You will also assist in budget analysis, consolidate monthly statements, and prepare footnotes for 10Q/10K, while supporting SOX compliance and internal controls. Strong analytical skills and CPA preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have a bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
• More than three years of accounting experience.
• CPA preferred.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Prepare general ledger entries and month-end closings.
• Perform account reconciliations and assist with budget analysis.
• Prepare consolidated monthly financial statements from the general ledger.
• Coordinate with auditors and subsidiary accounting teams.
• Support SOX documentation and internal control flowcharts.
• Answer accounting questions and maintain records.
