Kentucky Electric Cooperatives is looking for a Staff Accountant to manage general ledger accounting, accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks. The role includes month-end close, financial reporting, and support for year-end audits.

The candidate will work across multiple entities, prepare journal entries, and develop reporting packages for senior leadership. Collaboration with vendors and internal teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
• 2 years of accounting/finance experience, GAAP preferred.
• Experience in a multi-entity environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly journal entries.
• Create financial reporting packages for Senior Management and the Board.
• Reconcile and analyze general ledger accounts monthly.
• Develop financial reporting using ERP and BI tools.
• Review and process payments for select Accounts Payable and Sales Tax accounts.
• Support year-end audit engagement and related documentation.
