Confie currently seeks an Accountant in Baton Rouge to handle financial closing, journal entries, and reconciliations. The role includes daily accounting tasks, ledger reviews, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure accurate financial statements.

The position requires a Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance, GAAP knowledge, and 2–3 years of accounting experience. Moderate travel and hybrid work options may apply.

Qualifications

• Good understanding of accounting theory and GAAP.
• 2-3 years of prior experience in an accounting role.

Responsibilities

• Play an integral role in financial closing requirements, account reconciliations, and daily accounting tasks.
• Prepare and load journal entries
• Prepare general ledger account reconciliations (balance sheet and P&L)
• Prepare account analyses and find supporting documentation
• Prepare daily cash journal entries and related reporting
• Prepare P&L accrual estimates and allocations by location
• Assist Senior Accountant with fixed asset capitalization and adjustments
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial statement completeness and accuracy
• Meet deadlines and communicate findings promptly
