Addison Group is seeking an Accountant to support month-end close, reporting, and compliance in a large, operationally complex environment. This remote role collaborates with teams across the business and requires proactive ownership of accounting tasks.

You will prepare journal entries, perform reconciliations, analyze P&L and balance sheet activity, and assist with budgeting, audits, and regulatory compliance. The position offers a remote, full-time arrangement with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounting experience.
• Experience in a larger or operationally complex environment (manufacturing, distribution, logistics, healthcare, construction, environmental services).
• Hands-on month-end close experience.
• Personally prepares journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Strong understanding of accrual-basis accounting.
• Solid GAAP and general ledger foundation.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Comfortable managing deadlines and multiple priorities during a fast close.
• Curious and willing to ask questions rather than just follow instructions.
