Job summary

Hillwood Communities in Dallas, TX is seeking a Staff Accountant to join the Accounting team. The role spans accounts payable, project accounting, and corporate accounting functions, supporting active development projects and month-end close.

You will own vendor payments, AP workflows, journal entries, and project cost tracking while collaborating with project teams to ensure GAAP compliance and accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• Minimum 2+ years of accounts payable and/or project accounting experience.
• Experience with major ERP software (JD Edwards preferred).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate vendor payments and AP workflow for timely processing.
• Lead month-end close including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Manage project accounting for development initiatives and reporting.
• Support cross-functional collaboration with Project and Development Managers.
• Assist with system automation and process improvements.
