Job summary

Hillwood Construction Services in Dallas, TX seeks a Project Accountant to support daily financial transactions for corporate operations and construction projects, applying GAAP per the AICPA Construction Accounting Guide.

The role involves month-end close, management reporting, and audit support, with emphasis on accuracy, collaboration, and process improvement within a team environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred.
• 2–5 years of construction or project-based accounting preferred.
• Experience with accounting systems or ERP software preferred.
• Experience with JD Edwards and/or Procore is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the month-end close process and prepare selected journal entries.
• Prepare and compile monthly management reports for senior leadership.
• Assist with schedules and supporting documentation for annual external audits and project audits.
• Serve as a financial liaison with project teams and ribbed operations.
• Reconcile job cost data between Procore and JD Edwards monthly.
