Job summary

Preferred Risk Insurance Services seeks a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support AP, commission processing, reconciliations, journal entries, month-end close, and financial reporting.

You will manage the AP inbox, process invoices in the Airbase platform, handle vendor payments, assist with month-end close, and prepare ad hoc reports as requested. A bachelor's degree and 1–3 years' experience are expected, with strong Excel skills and communication abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 1–3 years of accounting, accounts payable, or related experience.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Process, code, and review vendor invoices and manage AP email inbox.
• Assist monthly agent commission processing and statements.
• Prepare journal entries and support month-end close and reporting.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and intercompany accounts.
• Support AR for in-house departments and 1099 preparation.
