YWCA Kalamazoo is seeking a Staff Accountant to provide accounting and data processing support to the Director of Finance. Responsibilities include payroll processing, accounts payable, and month-end procedures, with additional duties in grants, budgeting, and financial reporting.

This full-time role requires an associates degree in accounting or related field and at least one year of AP experience; nonprofit experience and Blackbaud/Financial Edge familiarity are a plus.

Competenze

• Associates degree in accounting, business or related field required.
• Minimum one year experience in accounts payable required.
• Experience in accounts receivable and payroll preferred.
• Non-profit sector experience and grants experience preferred.
• Experience with data entry, word processing and spreadsheets.
• Experience with Blackbaud/Financial Edge software preferred.

Mansioni

• Assist with payroll and maintenance of accounting records.
• Process accounts payable and handle invoice management and 1099 records.
• Process daily deposits and maintain petty cash.
• Assist in month-end procedures and prepare financial statements.
• Prepare required reports and statistics with the Director of Finance.
• Manage agency accounts receivable.
• Assist with communications with employees and program participants.
• Develop and maintain accounting operations and monitor program budgets.
• Safeguard confidential information and project a positive image.
