Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Staff Accountant to maintain financial data, ensure accuracy, and support monthly closing. You will coordinate transactions, maintain balance sheet schedules, and prepare ad-hoc reports for brokers, clients, and internal teams.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in balance sheet accounting and financial reporting, strong Excel skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in balance sheet accounting and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare month-end closing journal entries and ensure accurate posting to the general ledger.
• Maintain balance sheet reconciliations, including accruals, prepaids, and reversals across multiple entities.
• Maintain and reconcile approximately 25 balance sheet accounts for 2-5 companies.
• Maintain and reconcile intercompany balances.
• Complete monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
