Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Senior Accountant to own core close activities and maintain clean AP, AR, and payroll accounting for a growing multi-entity operation. You’ll handle journal entries, reconciliations, intercompany accounting, and provide judgment on close decisions.

You will report to the Senior Accounting Manager and collaborate with the broader Finance team to scale processes, with ownership over real accounting work and a strong emphasis on cross-border compliance.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of full-cycle accounting experience with ownership of month-end close
• Solid US GAAP knowledge including reconciliations and accruals
• Experience with a modern accounting system (NetSuite/QuickBooks) and expense/AP tools (Ramp/Bill.com)
• Strong communication skills to explain financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Month-End Close & Reporting: maintain balance sheet schedules and monthly entries
• Accounts Payable & Vendor Management: process bills, code expenses, onboard vendors
• Payroll Accounting: manage payroll for multiple regions and reconcile payroll entries
• Process Improvement & Cross-Functional Partnership: streamline reconciliations and partner with FP&A and People Ops
