Job summary

Unite America is seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting across multiple legal entities. Reporting to the Controller, you will manage journal entries, reconciliations, inter-entity transactions, and audit-ready documentation, helping grow the organization with disciplined financial processes.

The role requires 2–4 years of accounting experience in multi-entity settings, with CPA licensure in progress a plus.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of accounting experience in a multi-entity environment.
• Hands-on with month-end close and general ledger.
• Experience managing competing priorities and deadlines.
• Public accounting or audit-focused experience is a plus.
• CPA licensure in progress is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries and reconcile month-end close.
• Maintain consolidated records across multiple entities.
• Reconcile inter-entity transactions and allocations.
• Manage accounts payable/receivable processes.
• Identify and resolve data discrepancies.
• Maintain audit-ready documentation.
• Collaborate with Controller and external partners on close and audits.
• Suggest improvements to processes.
• Support internal stakeholders with financial information.
• Travel for organizational retreats and meetings (approx. four times yearly).
