Socket.dev is seeking a seasoned Senior Accountant to join the Accounting and Finance team. You will manage general ledger activities, assist with month-end close, and provide financial analysis to support decision-making.

The role emphasizes accuracy, ownership, and process improvement in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of accounting experience, GAAP expertise, and strong Excel/ERP skills.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age and eligible to work in the United States.
• Minimum 5 years of related accounting experience in senior or similar roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or equivalent; strong GAAP knowledge and accounting principles.

Responsibilities

• Perform and review general ledger accounting activities including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes with CFO oversight.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Assist with cash flow reporting, budgeting, and forecasts.
• Support accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and fixed asset accounting as needed.
• Prepare schedules for external auditors and tax professionals.
