Job summary

The PGA TOUR, Inc is seeking a Staff Accountant to support all aspects of accounting for the designated business area, including month end close, reconciliations, budgets, forecasts and audit schedules.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Accounting with 0-3 years of experience, strong GAAP knowledge, and advanced Excel skills. Workday experience is a plus and a detail-oriented mindset is essential for accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
• 0-3 years of accounting experience in industry.
• Thorough understanding of GAAP.
• Advanced skills Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Workday experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support all aspects of accounting for the respective business area, including month end close, balance sheet reconciliations, budgets, forecasts, audit schedules and analysis.
• Month end close activities.
• Support an accurate and timely month-end close.
• Review transactions for accuracy and prepare journal entries.
• Prepare and record monthly accruals and revenue recognition.
• Review financial statements for accuracy and prepare budget/forecast variance analysis.
• Interface with business unit representatives and communicate updates to the Manager.
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items.
• Prepare annual budgets and forecasts.
• Maintain forecast and budget workpapers.
• Maintain budgets and forecasts in Adaptive using business unit data and trends.
• Ongoing duties.
• Prepare monthly sales and use tax reports and file timely returns.
• Review invoices, provide coding and financial approvals.
• Review travel and purchase card reports for coding accuracy.
• Special projects or other duties as assigned.
