Job summary

PGA of America is seeking a Senior Accountant to provide comprehensive accounting support for Section offices, ensuring accurate general ledger records and timely close cycles. You will partner with Section Directors, support budgeting, and drive process improvements across the organization.

The role requires strong technical accounting knowledge, Workday Financials experience, and the ability to train staff while managing multiple sections and deadlines. Travel up to 15% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Five years of progressive accounting experience including general ledger.
• Strong knowledge of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close.
• Experience with Workday Financials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Close monthly books by preparing reconciliations and journal entries.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close for Section offices.
• Track fixed assets and review depreciation schedules.
• Prepare financial statements, reports, and analyses.
• Explain trends and variances to Section Directors.
• Train Section staff on accounting processes and tools.
• Assist with budgets and monitoring of operating plans.
• Lead special projects and process improvements.
• Serve as backup for assigned Sections.
