Job summary

The PGA of America is seeking a qualified accounting professional to support the Section Financial Program. You will lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, prepare reconciliations, and partner with Section executives to deliver accurate financial reporting.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance with at least five years of progressive accounting experience, including general ledger and financial systems like Workday. Travel up to 15% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance with five years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Workday Financials experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience supporting multiple entities, departments, or business units is preferred.
• Google Suite experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare account reconciliations, submit journal entries, and work with Sections to obtain information.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities for assigned PGA of America Section offices.
• Track fixed assets and review depreciation schedules.
• Serve as a financial resource and business partner to Section Executive Directors and staff.
• Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, management reports, and other financial analyses.
• Review financial statements with Section Executive Directors and explain trends, variances, and corrective actions.
• Work with accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely processing.
• Train and coach Section staff on accounting processes, policies, and reporting tools.
• Assist Sections with the preparation, review, and monitoring of annual operating budgets.
