Job summary

CFS in Mayfield, OH, is seeking a Staff Accountant to support the company’s accounting and financial operations through general ledger management, financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close activities.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and interested in working within a manufacturing environment, with opportunities to partner with leadership and cross-functional teams to provide accurate financial information and drive business objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred
• 4+ years of accounting experience preferred
• Manufacturing or cost accounting experience is a plus
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting systems preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist with month-end close activities, journal entries, and general ledger maintenance
• Prepare account reconciliations, analyze balance sheet accounts, and investigate variances
• Support financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes
• Assist with audits and maintain compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
• Support inventory, fixed asset, and manufacturing-related accounting activities
