Job summary

Anderson International seeks an Accountant to perform core accounting functions including reconciliations, journal entries, and reporting support. You will work under guidance with increasing autonomy as you gain proficiency, supporting GAAP compliance and monthly close deadlines.

Responsibilities include posting entries, reconciliations, assisting with closes, AP/AR support, financial reporting, asset records, regulatory filings, and audits. Manufacturing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 1–4 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Proficient in MS Excel and ERP software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger.
• Reconcile cash sheet weekly and balance sheet accounts monthly.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed.
• Prepare supporting schedules for financial statements and audits as needed.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Help maintain accurate fixed asset and depreciation records.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.
• Assist with sales tax filings and other regulatory reporting.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records.
• Support external auditors during annual audits by providing requested documentation.
• Perform other accounting duties and special projects as assigned.
• Assist with Cost Accounting as proficiency develops.
