Job summary

SURGE Staffing is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant for a growing manufacturing organization. You will support financial reporting, reconciliations, inventory and cost accounting, and internal controls across multiple facilities.

This role offers visibility across finance and operations and opportunities for long-term growth. Ideal candidates have manufacturing accounting experience, strong GAAP knowledge, and proficiency with SAP and Excel to drive accurate reporting and process

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• 3+ years of accounting experience is required.
• Manufacturing accounting experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong GAAP and financial reporting knowledge.
• Experience with inventory and cost accounting.
• ERP system experience required; SAP preferred.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong analytical and organizational abilities.
• Experience supporting AP/AR processes and reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute accurate accounting entries, financial reports, and reconciliations.
• Perform monthly reconciliations for inventory, bank accounts, sub-ledgers, and balance sheet accounts.
• Analyze monthly P&L results and identify variances and impacts.
• Support internal and external audit requests and year-end documentation.
• Coordinate intercompany reconciliations across entities.
• Support cost accounting and manufacturing financial reporting.
• Provide financial data and reporting support to leadership.
• Assist with payroll approval and reconciliation processes.
• Document procedures and suggest process improvements.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, finance, and plant leadership.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join a growing manufacturing organization. This role will be responsible for supporting financial reporting, reconciliations, inventory accounting, internal controls, and operational financial analysis across multiple facilities.

The ideal candidate will have strong accounting fundamentals, experience within a manufacturing environment, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-growth organization. This position offers strong visibility across finance and operations while providing opportunities for long-term growth and development.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute accurate accounting entries, financial reports, and reconciliations in a timely manner
• Perform monthly reconciliations for inventory, bank accounts, sub-ledgers, and assigned balance sheet accounts
• Analyze monthly P&L results and identify trends, variances, and operational impacts
• Support internal and external audit requests, including year-end audit preparation and documentation
• Coordinate intercompany payable and receivable reconciliations across multiple entities
• Support cost accounting activities and manufacturing financial reporting
• Provide financial data and reporting support to leadership teams
• Assist with payroll approval and reconciliation processes
• Document accounting procedures and recommend process improvements
• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, finance, and plant leadership teams

• Manufacturing accounting experience strongly preferred
