Oceanview Life and Annuity Company is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our growing Accounting team in Denver. This role supports cash, journal entries, reconciliations, premium tax, and statutory reporting across multiple entities, providing exposure to general ledger and insurance-specific accounting.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in Accounting and 1–2 years of experience, with strong Excel and communication skills.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required; CPA eligibility a plus.
• 1–2 years of accounting experience preferred; internship or co-op considered.
• Foundational understanding of journal Entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Experience with statutory accounting or insurance industry a plus.

Mansioni

• Prepare journal entries and general ledger activity for Oceanview and affiliates.
• Perform reconciliations and assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close.
• Analyze balance sheet and income statements; investigate variances.
• Support insurance accounting, premium tax reporting, and intercompany activities.
