The Arc of Butte County is seeking an experienced Staff Accountant II to support day-to-day accounting operations in Chico, CA. This on-site role requires attention to detail, strong GAAP knowledge, and the ability to collaborate across departments to resolve financial discrepancies.

You will handle journal entries, reconciliations, month-end close, and AR/AP activities, while contributing to process improvements and internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• At least three years of professional accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, general ledger accounting, and financial recordkeeping.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and account adjustments.
• Complete monthly balance-sheet, bank, and general-ledger reconciliations.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
• Maintain general-ledger accounts and research and resolve discrepancies.
• Record, monitor, and reconcile accounts receivable activity.
• Monitor outstanding receivables and follow-up on overdue balances.
• Review accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and other accounting transactions as needed.
• Assist with financial statements, management reports, and variance analysis.
• Prepare schedules and supporting documentation for audits and tax filings.
• Help maintain internal controls and support compliance with GAAP.
