Arcwood is seeking a Staff Accountant onsite in Joplin, MO to support the integrity of financial reporting and accounting operations.

This role offers exposure to general accounting, accounts payable/receivable, billing, payroll, financial reporting, budgeting, audit support, and business analysis.

The ideal candidate has strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to work with leadership to improve processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting (required).
• CPA Certification preferred.
• 1+ years accounting experience preferred; new graduates encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare location-level financial statements and supporting schedules in GAAP compliance.
• Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing and payroll processes.
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis activities.
• Collaborate with leadership to research issues and improve accounting processes.
• Participate in audits and maintain strong internal controls.
• Assist with research of accounting guidance and apply standards to transactions.
• Support cross-functional initiatives and day-to-day operational problem-solving.
