Job summary

Pet Supplies Plus is seeking a Staff Accountant in Livonia, MI to support month-end close, financial analysis, and internal controls. You will work with cross-functional teams and auditors to provide accurate reporting and drive process improvements.

The ideal candidate holds a Finance or Accounting degree, 1–3 years of accounting experience, and familiarity with ERP systems and Microsoft Office. A CPA is preferred and the role offers hybrid work options and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required; CPA strongly preferred.
• 1–3 years of accounting experience in public and/or corporate settings.
• Experience with financial reporting under U.S. GAAP.
• Detail-oriented, accurate, and able to work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Month-end close procedures and journal entries preparation.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and perform routine financial analysis.
• Communicate operating results to stakeholders across the organization.
• Support franchisees and corporate stores via SD+ ticket system.
• Generate management reports to drive decision-making and improvements.
• Coordinate with auditors and leadership to deliver required deliverables.
• Assist in budgeting and participate in process improvement projects.
• Perform other general accounting duties as needed.
