Job summary

Preformed Line Products in Mayfield Village, OH seeks a Staff Accountant to support accurate, timely financial reporting for PLP-USA and Corporate operations. You will handle general ledger, fixed assets, intercompany accounting, accounts payable, payroll, treasury, and indirect taxes, while contributing to process improvements and system implementations.

The role emphasizes close collaboration with corporate, plant, tax, treasury, payroll, and accounts payable teams, with limited domestic

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• CPA designation is a plus, but not required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, incl. lookup and PivotTables.
• Strong experience with journal entries, general ledger, reconciliations, close, and financial systems.

Responsibilities

• Record fixed asset acquisitions and divestitures; maintain fixed asset subledger.
• Prepare intercompany AP/AR entries; code and resolve intercompany differences.
• Prepare and analyze accruals (goods received but not invoiced, payroll, taxes, etc.).
• Assist AP supervisor to ensure timely payments and PO matching.
• Review daily activity, post journal entries, investigate unusual or incomplete transactions.
• Support monthly close for PLP-USA and Corporate operations.
• Prepare reconciliations for cash, PPE, and other assets/liabilities.
• Provide financial analysis and collaborate with plant management.
• Assist with freight, customs, and duty reporting and analysis.
• Participate in ERP upgrades and testing; document processes.
