American Eagle Outfitters, Inc. (AEO) is seeking a Staff Accountant to support core accounting operations, reporting to the Accounting Manager. You will maintain general ledger accuracy, streamline reconciliations, and prepare monthly journal entries in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidate has 1–3 years of experience, a Bachelor's in accounting or finance, and CPA pursuit. Proficiency with Lawson, Oracle, Cadency, Excel and Google Workspace is a plus.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
• 1–3 years of hands-on experience in corporate accounting or public accounting.
• CPA (or actively pursuing CPA) preferred.
• Experience with ERP/financial systems is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Month-End Close: Actively participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Journal Entries: Prepare, analyze, and post routine recurring and non-recurring entries.
• Balance Sheet: Conduct monthly general ledger reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• GAAP Compliance: Review transactions to verify proper revenue and expense recognition.
• Internal Controls: Support SOX compliance and internal reporting.
