Job summary

AEO in Pittsburgh is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support our core accounting operations, reporting to the Accounting Manager. You will help maintain the general ledger, prepare monthly journal entries, and assist with reconciliations in a fast-moving, collaborative environment.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance, 1–3 years of experience, and preferably pursuing CPA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• 1–3 years of corporate or public accounting experience.
• CPA track preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Prepare, analyze, and post routine and complex journal entries.
• Conduct monthly general ledger reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Review transactions for GAAP-compliant revenue and expense recognition.
• Support audits, SOX controls, and internal reporting.
