Ledgent is seeking an experienced accountant for a prominent Non‑Profit organization located in the St. Paul area. This role offers hybrid and remote flexibility and includes full benefits, PTO, and retirement plans.

The ideal candidate will have 2-4+ years of relevant experience, an understanding of accounting principles, and proficiency in accounting software such as SAP or QuickBooks. Responsibilities include general ledger maintenance and financial analysis.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Strong attention to detail.

Ledgent Finance and Accounting has a prominent Non‑Profit organization located in the St. Paul area needing to add to their Accounting team!

• Pay: $70,000-$80,000
• Mon‑Fri 8am‑5pm
• Hybrid/Remote Flexibility

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain general ledger entries and account reconciliations
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
• Analyze financial data and prepare reports for management
• Ensure accuracy of financial statements in accordance with GAAP (or applicable standards)
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes as needed
• Reconcile bank, credit card, and other balance sheet accounts
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities
• Maintain documentation for audits and support internal/external audit requests
• Identify discrepancies and recommend process improvements
• Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant financial regulations

Qualifications

• 2-4+ years of relevant accounting experience (public or private)
• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or QuickBooks)
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
