Job summary

KBW Financial Staffing & Recruiting in Woburn, MA is seeking a Staff Accountant / HR Coordinator to support day-to-day Finance and HR operations. The role covers client billing, payroll, cash management, bank reconciliations, and fixed assets, while also assisting with recruiting, onboarding, and HR records.

You will collaborate across departments in a growing professional services environment. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and 2+ years of accounting/HR exposure are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• 2+ years of progressive experience in accounting/finance and HR functions.
• Experience with billing/invoicing, payroll administration, financial recordkeeping, and employee records.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to work with employees at all levels.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Experience in A/E/C industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly client invoices and assist with billing activities.
• Process bi-weekly payroll and manage vacation and sick time accruals.
• Support cash management activities, including applying customer payments and bank reconciliations.
• Assist with fixed asset inventory tracking.
• Support the development and maintenance of financial policies and SOPs.
• Respond to internal and external finance-related inquiries.
• Assist with additional accounting and finance projects as needed.
• Coordinate recruiting activities, including posting jobs, communicating with candidates, and scheduling interviews.
• Support pre-employment activities, including background checks, screenings, and onboarding.
• Maintain accurate employee and HR records.
• Provide administrative support across HR, including HRIS data entry and document management.
• Respond to HR inquiries and assist with projects as needed.
