Job summary

KBW Financial Staffing & Recruiting is seeking a Staff Accountant for a Burlington, MA position. The role covers corporate, property, and general accounting duties with a salary range of $55k–$65k plus bonus.

You'll assist with month-end close, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, cash management, CAM and real estate tax reconciliations, and support audits and annual budgets, collaborating with property managers and asset teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting.
• 0–2 years of general accounting experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process for corporate entities.
• Prepare journal entries and maintain supporting schedules.
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with corporate cash reconciliations and cash management activities.
• Assist with fixed asset accounting and depreciation schedules.
• Support the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
• Assist with corporate financial reporting and management reporting packages.
• Assist with accounting for a portfolio of commercial retail properties.
• Record monthly journal entries and prepare account reconciliations.
• Review tenant receipts and apply cash collections.
• Assist with CAM, operating expenses, and real estate tax reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly property financial statements and variance analyses.
• Assist with lender reporting and ownership reporting requirements.
• Work closely with Property Managers and Asset Managers to resolve accounting questions and ensure timely reporting.
