Job summary

Alliant University is seeking a Staff Accountant to support routine and ad hoc accounting functions under the Controller. The role requires applying GAAP, internal controls, and regulatory knowledge while coordinating with outsourcing partners to ensure timely financial statements.

The position covers month-end close, financial reporting for international headquarters, and collaboration across finance teams to maintain accuracy and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Accounting, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
• Two (2) years relevant accounting experience. Familiarity with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the Controller and Senior Financial Analyst to ensure timely processing of invoices and accurate financial statements.
• Provide technical accounting guidance to faculty and staff and support monthly close.
• Prepare periodic financial reports for the international headquarters and assist with audits and schedules.
• Review General Ledger detail for accuracy and prepare correcting entries as needed.
• Support Student Accounts daily payments and refunds reconciliation and assist with tax declarations.
