Job summary

Alliant University is seeking a Staff Accountant to join the Controller's team in San Diego. You will handle routine and ad hoc accounting tasks, ensure GAAP compliance, internal controls, and support financial reporting for the international headquarters.

This exempt position offers salary of USD 72,384–75,000 per year and a comprehensive benefits package. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Accounting with 2 years of experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
• Two years of relevant accounting experience.
• Familiarity with GAAP and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the Controller and outsourced provider to ensure timely AP processing and accurate financial statements.
• Provide technical accounting support to University faculty and staff.
• Prepare periodic financial reporting for the international headquarters and interface on treasury matters.
• Review General Ledger detail for accuracy and prepare correcting entries.
• Review GL reconciliations and suggest improvements.
• Support month-end close and ad hoc accounting reports as needed.
• Assist with annual financial audits and internal audits.
