Job summary

Better Companies in Irvine, CA is seeking a Staff Accountant to document financial performance, manage month-end close, treasury, and executive reporting. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will develop KPI dashboards and support financial operations.

This in-office, full-time, non-exempt hourly role requires a Bachelor's in Accounting and 1-3 years of accounting experience; strong Excel skills and NetSuite familiarity are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• 1–3 years of hands-on accounting experience in a professional office setting.
• Strong Excel skills and ability to work with complex spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post general ledger journal entries and maintain subsidiary ledgers.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations across treasury, revenue, AP/AR, payroll, and assets.
• Prepare cash flow summaries and assist in budgeting, forecasting, and KPI reporting.
• Support ad-hoc financial requests and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
