Job summary

LHH is seeking a Staff Accountant in Clearwater, FL, on-site. The role offers exposure to financial reporting, GL management, inventory, budgeting, audits, and potential M&A involvement. You will partner with sales and operations to resolve billing issues and support month-end close.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field and brings accounting experience with a growth mindset. ERP experience (Syspro) and advanced Excel skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Accounting experience with a desire to learn and grow.
• ERP experience; Syspro is a plus.
• Advanced Excel skills; Access, VBA, or SQL is a plus.
• Strong organization, communication, and time-management skills.
• Ability to balance multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger and close entries.
• Perform inventory accounting for materials, WIP, and FG.
• Prepare fixed assets, depreciation, debt, and intercompany reconciliations.
• Complete bank reconciliations and support treasury activities.
• Assist with external audits and resolve discrepancies.
• Manage invoicing and accounts receivable.
• Calculate and reconcile sales commissions.
• Collaborate with sales and operations to resolve billing issues.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Analyze financial results and identify trends.
• Gain exposure to M&A integration and financial analysis.
• Understand cost drivers including labor, materials, inventory, and production.
