Compass Group USA is hiring a STAFF ACCOUNTANT for an in-office role in Wisconsin. The position offers 7am-4pm Monday-Friday with a pay range of $58,000 to $63,000 and an internal employee referral bonus.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
• 1-3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience required.
• Experience with reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close activities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including lookup formulas and pivot tables.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
• Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and prioritize competing responsibilities.
• Strong communication skills and a willingness to ask questions and learn.
• Positive attitude, initiative, and desire for professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Support accounts receivable activities.
• Prepare weekly and monthly reports.
• Assist with month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
• Perform monthly inventory reconciliations.
• Manage P-card activity and supporting documentation.
• Process customer commissions.
• Participate in cash room activities, including petty cash reconciliation and cash management.
• Assist with fixed asset tracking and management.
• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Support audits, compliance activities, data entry, and special projects as assigned.
