Canteen, a Compass Group division, is hiring a Staff Accountant to provide accounting and operational support across vending, market, and office coffee service lines. You’ll manage accounts receivable, payroll duties, monthly reporting, and month-end close in a detail-oriented, growth-minded environment.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work independently while meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 1-3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
• Experience with reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close.

Responsibilities

• Support accounts receivable activities.
• Assist with payroll duties.
• Prepare weekly and monthly reports.
• Assist with month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
• Perform monthly inventory reconciliations.
• Manage P-card activity and supporting documentation.
• Process customer commissions.
• Participate in cash room activities, including petty cash reconciliation and cash management.
• Assist with fixed asset tracking and management.
• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Support audits, compliance activities, data entry, and special projects as assigned.
